Cross Processing
Cross Processing: A chemical solution intended for a different type of film.
I find these photos really creative. The top and bottom pictures are very beautiful and the middle picture is really cool.
I would use this technique to do portraites with crazy hair and makeup!!

film scans and questions
My favorite: The bottom picture.
What I like best about the bottom picture is that the texture makes up the face and the whole image.
In the top picture the leafs are mostly noticeable but in the bottom the whole picture shows and the texture is spread evenly across.
I have lots of pictures in my contact sheet that went wrong. A lot of them were just to dark so I would make sure my exposure is perfect.
Overall the project was really fun! I enjoyed doing it even though it took more then 1 try to get thing right.

Deforestation
Right now in
the world, we have a huge deforestation problem.
Our forests
are disappearing and animals are dying because we are ruining their habitat. In
the last 50 years 15% of the Amazon Rainforest has disappeared because of us.
Imagine in 100 years!
1.6 billion
people worldwide rely on the forest, that’s why we need to be super careful
with how we use it and what we use it for. You can be a part of saving the
wildlife, our forests and potentially the human race, you can protest against
future plans in your community, start a petition and simply just educate
yourself because if we all know what’s happening we will be aware. Take the
time to get educated to stand up for our forests and environment because we are
the only ones that can save them.

equivalent to 36 football fields each minute.
-The amazon has lost around 17% of there forest in the last 50 years
imagine in 100.

Idris Khan
Idris Khan's photography was inspired by Bernd & Hilla Bechr.
He adds multiple pictures and layers ontop of each other.
I love his photography because it looks very intresting and detailed.
Bernd & Hilla Becher
Bernd & Hilla Bechr's photography style is.. you could call it progression? They take pictures of the same thing but all over europe and the world. For example diffrent water towers.
I do not prefer this type of work but I like the fact that it sort of shows diffrent cultures, The way diffrent people look at buildings ect...

Edward Burtynsky
This photograph has big significance on the world. It shows the frown behind the smile. It represents that our world might not be as 'beautiful' as we think.
Edward Burtynsky photographs landscape of leading issues the world has. I personally do not like Edward's photos but i love the idea he has to bring attention to our issues.
I can take action to help our world by paying more attention to recycling properly.

Cindy Sherman
Cindy Sherman is an American photographer. She specalizes in self portraits. I really like her style because it shows so many diffrent charecters. It shows you can be somebody else. She models all of her pictures and photographs the,. I think that is a really special thing to be able to do. Cindy also does not name her photographs because she wants you to have your own perspective of what the picutres about. I think that is a great idea. I absolutly love her photographs. She is an amazing photographer.

Famous Photographer Fridays- Chuck Close
Today I found out about a very cool and amazing photographer. He is an american photographer and painter. He is paralized but that does not stop him from persuing his career.
I love that he shows the underneath of people. Not the 10lbs of makeup celebritys and normal people cake on there face. "No makeup or hair or wardrobe, Just pick something thats, you"
It is quite fantastic!

Shooting
I chose this picture because it captures real life. The
little girl looks scared and a man is willing to help her into safety. You
don’t think of somebody taking a picture like this during real time and a real
shooting. The photographer risked his life. You can see people hiding and I
think it’s a real photo.
Fire.
I like the lines in the picture and how they draw you into
the scene. I love the detail in this picture. I think this picture shows how
lucky the family should be that they’re house didn’t get burnt down. I also
love the colors.
